Microneedling, which is also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment used to rejuvenate the skin.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The treatment works by using a device with fine needles to create a controlled injury under the skin via tiny punctures in the top layer of skin. This “injury” triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin, as well as new capillaries for an improved blood supply in the affected area.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, fine lines and stretch marks. As well, the channels made from the micro-needles allow topical gels and creams to be absorbed more effectively through the top layer of skin. Medical Microneedling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, leg) and face.
