Exfoliate your Skin like Never Before with SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion!

Do you ever find yourself struggling with unwanted age lines, pigment irregularities and clogged pores? Sadly, these ailments often occur (inevitably) overtime due to environmental stressors and the natural aging process.

Suppose you have just spent the day at the beach, trading between soaking in the sun, stretched out on a beach towel and wading into the water to cool down. Not a bad day, right? Except, usually at the end of a day like this, we might notice our skin feels a bit dirty. Between stray sand and layers of sunscreen, it’s inevitable that our pores will leave the beach feeling a somewhat clogged, which can potentially prompt a breakout. Not only that, but the daily application of make-up can also clog our pores, especially if we neglect cleaning our make-up brushes on a regular basis. Not to mention those nights we fall asleep on the couch while streaming Netflix, make-up from earlier in the day left on our face while we sleep away our latest binge-watching session.

Fortunately, at Esterson Dermatology we offer the perfect procedure to battle even the most frustrating of skin irregularities to reveal healthy, refreshed and radiant skin. Even better than any mask or a typical spa facial, our SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion treatment (like microdermabraison, only better!) is a non-surgical procedure which works to gently re-surface the skin to promote facial rejuvenation and leave you with the ultimate fresh face! Not sure what the process entails? Don’t worry. We have outlined the SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion process below to provide you with all the information you need:

The outer layer of the skin is called the Epidermis, where you will find the ‘stratum corneum’. This is the layer of skin which microdermabrasion treatments specifically target, as it endures the most damage from the environment (such as sun damage, dirt particles etc.).

During the SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion process, the nurse will first thoroughly clean your skin. After that, the technician wields the diamond tip of the device, which will gently brush the skin’s surface with the aid of a gentle vacuum and a nutrient rich, condition-specific solution. After this step is completed, topical vitamins and minerals will be applied and finally, sunscreen is applied to the treated area. The exfoliation associated with the treatment acts as a “mild injury” to the skin which promotes the production of new, healthy skin cells.

Not quite convinced? The SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion treatment is so well-received it has been coined as an “instant facelift”, but without the surgery. The appointment time is typically 45 minutes which provides time to discuss at-home skin care products to prolong the results of the treatment. In the first hour following the treatment, the exfoliation will cause mild swelling and redness, but these side effects fade quickly as your new skin is revealed. With that said, the process doesn’t require any added downtime and you can expect to see results after the first treatment.

If you are doing these treatments in a series, you should expect to do them about once every 3-4 weeks. With that said, due to the gentle nature of the machine, you can truly have them done as often as you’d like. These treatments are safe for any age or skin type since the procedure is entirely customizable.
